Planned the trip all week, headed out with everyone else. Started at Edisto Banks but found nothing, headed deep, out to 1400’, still nothing. Worked our way back in to the weedline in 600’ and finally picked up a gaffer, but that was it. Came back in to the SW Banks and picked up a nice bull, but he spit the hook after an impressive tail walking demonstration. So we headed in and found a snotty, beam sea for the last 20 miles home. Wish we had stayed to the south. We did see the 10’- 12’ hammerhead on the surface, he was in 375’ when we saw him, unless it was a diff. shark. I am guessing the cold front, and all the rain has calmed the off-shore bite a bit, we covered 185nm yesterday with only 2 knockdowns, come on! Still beats work though.
