5/31

Slow day until late afternoon when we went back to a pollen/weedline we fished earlier. Ended up with 14 dolphin with largest around 40lbs. Missed one that was a good bit larger that spit the hook. Left a bunch of fish biting.

The one pic I have

Thats a nice fish. You did alot better than we did.How deep were you when you found your fish?

~1400’

That’s bigger than 40lbs unless that’s a little person holding it…

Next time you come in, come heavy, or not at all…

No, Mr. OSeaDBoatworks is about 5’10"…good fish for sure!

Thanks for the info. We haven"t given up on them yet, the freezer still has room in it.

No problem…2nd time we have gone that deep this year looking for anything fishy. I think we were about 10 miles east of 226 last I heard.

Supposedly, a blue cruised right by the boat but wasn’t interested. I was napping at that point in time.

We were headed to the 226 and ran across a nice weedline at 140 ft. so we pulled a few lines beside it and caught 2 fish quick like. Set up caught nothing else.Ended up at edisto bank. When we stopped at 140 ft. 2 dozen boats rode by heading on out. I should ride the short bus.

thanks for report nice fish

I forgot to mention we had an old cf.com legend as gaff man on board…even at 76, he’s still got it going on. Y’all may know him by the name of Hoppy…not an ounce of meat was harmed in the gaffing of the fish. He could probably teach a few of y’all a trick or two…

I call BS on Hoppy’s age.

I see him with 35-40 y.o. chicks all the time…

He’s always been a “half his age” kinda guy  And, no, he ain’t that old. Just pokin’ at the old timer.
