Cleared the rocks at 5 threw the fog. Lines in just shy of 8 just outside of 380. Fish on right away. Ended up keeping 16 phins, bout 10 of them gaffers. Had to run from the peanuts several times. Could have filled the boat with them. Color didnt matter. Ended the day trolling the ledge for hoo. One phin, two donkeys (1 kept for the yard man), and lost a STUD hoo under the boat. Would’ve been the day maker. Oh well, shaking off the dust I guess. Highlight of the day was the massive school of sunfish and peanuts we ran across. Had to take a dip with them. Great start to the season!
These are responsible for a lot of “I just saw a BIG MARLIN jump” and the “I just saw a BIG TUNA jump” 300 yards away sightings!
