5/7 & Panama

Had to go to my sons graduation at Citadel, but the guys fished the boat. They started offshore of 226 in the big temp break where they got the 3 peanuts. Izzy Bailey was happy to get her first 2 fish ever and her sister Maya managed the 3rd. After really poor fishing they moved inshore to cooler dirty water and managed 6 decent sized dolphin and a Bonita. This is pretty crappy fishing for May so I am supplementing some pics from this week in Panama. 5 nice tuna and 3 roosters Fished Hannibal Bank out of Boca Chica and can’t thank Paul Clark and Mike Ross enough for the invite. Hope we get some better fishing in Charlestown over next few weeks

Fishing is good off SC coast now. Maybe crappy fishermen on the boat ?

The word “this” implies singular. Meaning the boat had pretty crappy fishing for this time of year. But I’m sure the guys will practice and do better from now on so they won’t stay crappy fisherman. Kind of remember why most charter captains stopped posting. How about we stick with respectable and useful comments. Thought we did this to help each other not pounce on one another.

I agree 100% with Chaos on this one. I’ve fished with these guys a lot and they may be a lot of things but crappy fisherman isn’t one of them. I’ve only been doing this about 18 years and I consider my self a “crappy” fisherman but I’d rather be out in the ocean being “crappy” then anywhere else. Maybe you could see if Haddrells will let you put on a “How to fish” clinic and I’ll be the first to join!

Who were you fishing with in Boca Chica? I was there last week on Hannibal but with a spear gun.

if you fished Saturday? it was crappy for everyone out there!

Really? I didn't fish b/c it's was my sons 2nd birthday, but my friends caught 35 dolphin up 45lbs and a sail.

I’m pretty sure he was talking about crappy conditions, not the fishing. In early May, there is always a strong bite going on somewhere. Lots of people caught good fish Saturday, even though it was rough for a CC.

Man, the guy is kind enough to post a helpful report, and befpre you know it, someone’s insulting his little girls’ fishing abilities and bragging about his friend’s trip. Gotta love charlestonfishing

Chaos and skinnee, who do you both of you guys fish with down there? I fish with Shane Jarvis often. We should all get together a group and go down some day?

Its really crappy when you only get to the sea bouy before your fuel filters clog up from the white gunk caused by water in your fuel, shuts down both engines, then have to wait for SeaTow to end your day with a 3 hour tow. Guess the choppy seas stirred it all up. Better there than 70 miles out though. Overall a good day…being that we can be here to tell the story. SeaTow guy acted like we were crazy to be out there. I didn’t think it was too much for a 26’ cc.

maybe that's why they caught so man? you were not on the boat! I was talking about the weather! do all us a favor here, keep you smarta** comments to yourself! I know some that do this for a living and caught 0, then I know some that mopped the floor like your buddy! everyone has there day! rant over!

to those asking about panama. we were at a private place owned by many folks here in mt pleasant. we fished on Paul Clark’s 33 Freeman. weather was a bit rough for the area, but 50lb to 150lb tunas busted on top. very nice experience. will probably go again next year… if invited!!

Now that's funny! and add, "my friends" caught......dude, why not post those pics and start a decent report on that thread rather than just come on here and say something foolish and disrespectful towards another member of the fishing community? Huh? I've been lucky enough to fish with this crew on quite a few occasions where the box was loaded and so were our pockets after weigh ins. Why do you feel the need to post anti, man?

I took that picture on April 29th.

Congrats to your daughters BTW. I’ve got a 2 year old daughter. Don’t want her to grow up, but can’t wait to get her out there one day!
