5/9/17

Headed out of Charleston in a manageable sea. Had a SW wind and it was expected to pick up throughout the day. Plan was to head to 380 but we decided to head South towards the Deli to avoid taking it on the chin on the way back in. Ocean was much sportier than the 2’ @ 8 second forecast. Just like Mondays reports, weeds were scattered. Didn’t hear much success on the radio or at the docks with most folks with boating less than 5 dolphin. We ended with 2 and a number of short strikes. Decided to heard back to the Hill around 1 as seas were building due to wind and stacked. Fish are here though and a lot of life. Water temps staying around 76.5

Those 2x8’s just feel much worse with the 3x3 wind waves. Atleast you got out there and found Some meat. I can imagine you guys for some spray from those winds.

Fished there too with same results. We did luck up and get a blackfin too. Seas were definitely sportier than expected.
