So let me get this straight … YOU ask a question in a public forum and as part of that question you make a statement of fact (… last year it was unlawful to release a Striper during this time …) and after your “question” you state, and I quote …

Subsequently two other people post one line responses basically telling you that you’re wrong and then I simply and politely ask you for the … your words … “source” of your information … after which you get all stupid and childish on me …
That pretty much sums it all up … Now, I’ve asked several other people and they all - as well as others who have posted in this thread - state that my response(s) were not and are not rude or out of line or unreasonable …
Which begs the question … What exactly is your problem with me??
Second thought, I could care less what your problem is with me …
My reputation, personally, on these forums, and within the fishing community is well established … as is yours … so run along now little snowflake wouldn’t want you to get your feelings hurt …

No need for rebuttals, if the 2 year superstar of Striper fishing hasn’t figured it out yet he probably never will.

The hashtag was started by ol Law boy himself on Facebook. It just seemed like a good family tradition to carry on is all. Geronimo, the u-rigs is the family friendly approach to things. Somehow they’ve been producing better quality fish than live bait the past few months from what I’m seeing in reports and results. Who woulda thunk? We’ll see if live bait produces in the very near future.
Pulling U-rigs = M.I. Spot Run IMO.
Just doesn’t feel like fishing to me, but to each their own.

Geronimo, I agree in a sense. The act of reeling in a fish constitutes some sort of catching fish. But the plan tonight is to target some fish with live bait. I’m
Sure to be skunked but maybe I’ll get lucky. Atleast I know if I catch 20 I gotta stop but I can release if I choose.

I disagree to a sense. 3 of the 5 stripers over 20 came on u-rigs(biggest was ounces shy of 30). There can be a challenge to it if you like reading water and covering a lot of water certain times of the year.
I prefer light tackle and fly over bait 7 days a week. While I will “pull” bait with the kids or downrod fish some…just not my cup of tea. Since I don’t get to stay on fish like I did because of kids etc…u-rigs and trolling helps to pattern fish. That said…u rigs aren’t the best thing during the 5 and done deal.
To compare to the spot run is comical, but that’s your opinion and I respect that.
