Good luck with that one yakman[:0]You might get some plastic ones and spray paint them, but rope handles:question:
Super walmart in North Charleston had blue, white, tan, and camo a few weeks ago. They were in auto, and the garden sections.

With rope handles? Good find marshscaper1:wink:
Not the color you want and no rope but firehouse subs sells there pickle buckets for 2.00 a piece. You can paint and add rope for what they will most likely charge at Wally World.
Dangit Easy, I knew you were gonna comment! PS can’t believe I missed ya at the oyster roast!
Yeah I’m bein’ a little picky, but these arent ordinary work buckets
Thanks Marshscraper, any idea on price?

yakman; do you want wood, metal, plastic? I’ll look around for you!

I think yakman is looking for buckets that you will see on big sport fishing boats. I took 2 brand new yellow hydraulic oil buckets, with no labels, removed wire handle, drilled holes, fitted some nice double braid rope through bucket from outside. I then found a tight fitting stainless fender washer, slid it on the rope, heated rope end with propane torch and flattened hot rope end with putty knife. Now you have a custom rope handle without this huge knot inside the bucket. Decorate bucket with misc. fishing stickers, just NOT salt life ones, and you have a cool bucket to sit under your six grand, Release fighting chair. Saw these type of buckets at Big Rock. I made one with a longer handle and a smaller 2 gallon bucket, makes a great scoop for a quick, deck wash down.
LOL ^ NOT SALT LIFE
I promise no salt life!
I want the light blue for my baitwell in the jon boat. And the green for duck huntin/ dove hunting in the field. Once you’ve used Rope handles, the others dont compare.

Go to Ace Hardware, buy the blue buckets they sell at the end of the painting aisle. Get a 1/2" or 5/8" drill bit and some rope, pull the wire handle off, drill out the hole and feed the rope through, tie a knot in the end. Now you have a rope handled bucket. Or you could tie the rope to brass or stainless snap swivels for a removeable handle.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

One of those cheap cube-like mid sized coolers with a hole or two drilled for aerator hoses works well as a portable live well. Inexpensive, stable so it won’t tip when full, has a hinged lid and is insulated to keep the water from overheating. I’ve used both and definitely prefer the cheap cooler. You can get the green bucket with swivel kids and rope handles at most sporting goods stores around dove season.
some cat litter buckets are all plastic, even the handles…last a long time…and they don’t have Salt Life stickers on them…no, you can’t have mine…
