5 species yesterday day and inshore slam

Went out yesterday and took my buddy Rob from Big Bear Fishing Rods to try to get his first tailer. Spent sometime looking for new spots and fishing while waiting on the tide to come in. I caught a flounder at the " flounder hole"on my new flounder rig! Worked out just like I had planned except for only caught one. I missed another one there too. We also caught trout, undersized reds, sharks (small ones not sure what kind), and lady fish while waiting for the tide! Then the tide started easing into the grass and immediately I spotted three nice sized fish busting thru the grass and into the flooding flat. Of course, Rob got first shot and boy was he ready. I had to stop him and give a brief overview of what to do. He listened and did a great job not spooking the fish when sneaking and casting. He was super excited and is addicted for sure. We saw a bunch of fish and I spooked the one that I cast to. The water got so deep that it was hard to see where the fish went after we would see them tail. Not to mention the wind was making it very difficult to spot them to begin with.

Good stuff, Jimmy. I always enjoy your reports.
