Approximately $500,000 in property stolen out of 4 different counties recovered by Sheriff’s Office in Seabrook today

Early this morning Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a trailer stolen out of North Charleston having been tracked by GPS to the residence located at 268 Detour Road in Seabrook. Once they arrived at the residence, deputies could clearly see the suspected stolen trailer through the fenced in yard. After making contact with a subject inside of the residence, deputies were able to gain access to the fenced in yard to get a closer look at the trailer. Deputies ran the serial numbers on the trailer through the NCIC (National Crime Information Center) and confirmed it was in fact the one reported stolen out of North Charleston.

While still inside the fenced in yard, deputies were able to observe other property (heavy equipment) they suspected may also have been stolen. Deputies secured the residence and yard and made contact with investigators, who in turn obtained a warrant to search for additional stolen items. Investigators responded and served the warrant to search the property located at 268 Detour Road in its entirety (fenced in yard, residence, shed). As result of the search, investigators were able to identify and recover approximately $500,000 in property reported stolen out of Charleston, Colleton, Jasper and Beaufort Counties. Heavy equipment (front end loader, skid steer, excavator), open and enclosed trailers, commercial landscaping equipment (mowers, blowers, weedeaters), construction tools (nail guns, skill saws) and other stolen property, including a .22 caliber rifle, are currently being inventoried by investigators for return to the lawful owners.

Multiple criminal charges are expected to be brought against all subjects involved in near future. They will be identified when charging decisions are made, as the investigation into the stolen property is ongoing. Anyone with information regardin

awsome! I still want to know the outcome of those involved in huge crime ring around Walterboro. Got very quiet, quick.

You see a lot of post about stolen property…maybe the arrest of these guys will solve some of those thefts.

I bet a lot of people would be willing to take these guys shark fishing feeding.
