So yesterday was a sure treat…We went out towards the 226, and did a little high speed trolling with no luck…after bringing them in, we began to set up our spread. Knowingly we downsized our outfits to target sails, and dolphins, so we had out two 15’s, and a few 25’s, and about the time we were placing our third line out, we were hammered by a huge Blue…and of course it took off on our 15. It ALMOST spooled us, but we were able to catch her, and gain line back, and so the fight went on for 2.5 hours…we had her tired out, but due to the small size of the outfit, we could not raise her the last 25 yards or so, she was right below our boat. Knowing that fightng any much longer could possibly kill her, we tried to raise her, but obviously with no luck and the line snapping…It was an amazing experience though, and she put on an amazing show…I will have nightmares about watching her, hahaha. We hooked up with her right after 8 am, and lost her just before 11. Anyone know where to find world records for Blue on different class outfits??
