Finally got the weather and work schedule to coincide. Ran just shy of 226 hole and started fishing in 180’. First fish after 5 minutes. Trolled on towards 226 and hit a decent weed line. Wound up with 15 mahi in the boat and one lost at the gaff. Mostly decent cows with one nice bull pushing 40lbs. Hooked up a sale for a bit. Spit the hook on the third dance. Fun anyhow. We also saw three more sales just free jumping out there. Another center console hooked a nice blue near us. We saw it jump, but never heard if they landed or not. Great day on the water. Many thanks to Mike Able at Haddrells. He set me up with all new gear this year and went the extra mile with service and advice.
That was us I believe(blue hull). Thanks for moving out the way hope ya’ll didn’t get your spread too tangled. Hit a 30 and stayed on the surface for a bit but by the time we cleared lines, turned the boat, and got on the bow to chase him down he was heading to the deep. He spooled us shortly thereafter. Ya’ll get a good look at him? Thanks again and well done on the dolphin and sail we ended with 9 and a wahoo. See ya out there next time.
No problems with our spread. I just wanted to see you catch that fish. It jumped right as we passed by. Beautiful fish! Go get another.
