6/10 late report again

Sorry for the late post again but figured I would wait until the video was put together. Got an early start with a nice ride on the way out. Started at 300’slightly north of the banks. Nothing for the first 30 minutes. Decided to head towards the ledge. Went slightly inside of it and still nothing. Then decided to run out deep. Stopped in 800’ on a small weedline/rip. Small gaffer in the boat on the first line out. Worked the area for a bit with nothing else to show. Worked from there back to the ledge with nothing. Last ditch effort was to work shallow. Picked up another small Maui. And shortly after got the day maker hoo in 135’. Fish was around 35lb. Then a small tuna 5 minutes later to wrap the day up. Was hearing about the majestic tree all day and figured we would throw a few pitch baits before heading home. Quick 10mi run and and plenty of Maui still there. They were picked over hard and we couldn’t get them to bite. Didn’t really have the light tackle either. Quick smooth ride home and back at the dock by 530. Slow overall but still a great time. Can’t fill the box everytime!

I was fully expecting to see a “wahoo kiss” when he got in the boat

We should have done that. That’s how much that fish lifted our spirits!

I’ve tried it before and didn’t care too much for it. Try and stick with blackfin and above. However some crew members seem to like it from previous trips and they took the meat. Personally I would have given it to a friend that fished the shark tournament the next day

Why are there 3 coolers in the cockpit? That would drive me nuts

1 for drinks and beer(biggest), 1 for alot of food and 1 for bait. Probably could be consolidated but that’s the captains orders!
