6/12/2010 Best Day Ever

Cleared Dewees around 5:00 cruised out at 32 to the outcrop. Caught seven dolphin. It was a bit slow after lunch so we headed for the hill The daymaker came around 25 miles from home. Seatow was calling my boat name and asking to speak with me. I pulled back and answered their call. They informed me that my wife was is labor(our first) and I should get in soon. Ran the rest of the way about 42mph and was at the Hospital in about hour and half. He arrived at 10:45 that night:smiley::smiley::smiley:. Truly the best day ever. Many thanks to Seatow for relaying my wife’s call. We will stay members forever.

ummm… nice work on the rod???

Awesome.

What was the due date? Just wondering because I flirted with being in the same scenarion a couple times this earlier this year.

So the Babie’s Daddy went fishin, good on ya.

Grat’s on the baby, you wont be sleeping anymore.

Congrats on all of the above.

If that was me, Seatow would be calling me to tell me my van down my the river was being towed…

My buddy heard the call on the radio. He called me that night and told me he had a new fishing partner but didn’t know his name. I was like…huh? He told me he heard the radio call and that there was a guy out fishing while his wife was in labor. Now that is dedication to fishing! …I was home painting, no kitchen pass for me!

Congrats on the new addition!

I hope it was a great trip…it’s your last for a while! Congrats!

Thanks all. Due date was June 21, so he was a bit early. My wife likes to fish and she knows how much I enjoy it, so we decided a float plan and a call to seatow would be a good idea just in case. I have a good radio and antenna so I felt confident they could reach us if need be. Next time I will be carrying a Sat. Phone. Can’t wait to take my son fishing.:smiley:

This is so full of win!!

Umm, you gonna eat that?©

So as a Chas Cty Paramedic I have delivered and assisted in the delivery of 46 babies…do I get credit for this one? And if so then you owe me a blue stork pin to add to my collection…

and I did not even have to clean the back of the ambulance out:smiley:
