Left out of DI at about 4:00 in the pitch black, fortunately we didn’t hit any crab pots on the way out. Dropped lines in 170’ at about 6:45. Had a small fish get off after about 10 min. then it was pretty slow for a while after that until we got to about 200’ and got a slinger. Then about an hour after that got a nice cow and a bull. Picked up a few more until about 11:30 then it was wide open on slingers with a few nice bulls in the mix. Caught most of our fish on spinning gear just seeing them jumpin and trollin over to em. Had about a 30 lb. bull on the spinning gear that slipped off the gaff in the boat and between the three of us trying to wrestle him in the box he shot through my arms out the boat and the line got tangled on something and broke off:face_with_head_bandage:. Ended up catchin about 30 phins. Couldn’t ask for a nicer day, but it was hot as hell.
NICE!! It definitely was HOT and BEAUTIFUL today…Your report sounds as if I had planned mine in my head:face_with_head_bandage:…Good job on the phins!
