Ended up with 10 dolphin. 2 were slingers and 8 gaffers…6 nice fish roughly between 18-25 lbs.

Ocean was a little bumpy in the morning and mostly dodged the rain. We wanted to go South but the wave direction made us head mostly straight out instead. The last few weeks we have been catching them shallow so we finally learned our lesson after a very slow trip last saturday and dropped lines shallow to start. 8 of the 10 fish were caught between 110’ and 130’, with the other 2 coming around 170 ft. Pushed a little deeper but didn’t find much. The winds died throughout the day and we had a nice ride in.

any grass mats???

Not great grass…very scatterred. The grass is VERY close to shore, saw a great looking weedline in the harbor haha. Found a decent weedline in 170’ but only found 2 fish on it.

Pretty blue water and weeds everywhere in 70 ft of water out of edisto on wednesday. Were strong south winds the previous days to blame?
