Started fishing just short of the 380 hole in 250’ pick up one gaffer right off. Then trolled out to deeper water found a scattered weeds and picked at the dolpin till about 11. Around 12 we found the weedline that Red bull is talking about and ended the day with 11 gaffers including a 33# cow, 5 slingers, 3 peanuts, 1 wahoo 35#. Blue/White was hot.
Congrats Whoo-dat. Really thought that area would have produced some billfish. All those dolphin stacked up in there and the temp break seemed like the perfect element. We trolled lures only for a while with no luck then went to some naked ballyhoo and some rigged lures. Wanted to stay until dark but thought better of it. Just thought we were leaving what could have been an epic day… Oh well. Caught fish and got back home with no problems. Was a good day.

I hear ya. We don’t fish for marlin much…but we definitely pulled every big lure out of the hat and at least gave it a try…
