After the Blue Marlin on Thursday I was excited to get back out again. A lot different outcome Sunday. Headed south and started trolling in 180ft. Picked up a decent phin and trolled south along the ledge until we saw the dark clouds coming at us.
Did anyone get stuck in that storm down south? Saw a couple of boats vanish in the dark clouds. It looked pretty bad with heavy rain and lightening.
Anyway, we didnt feel like getting soaked so I started trolling back in to avoid the storm. Messed up my gameplan a bit but managed to pick up a couple more dolphin in about 140ft. Then the bonito and cudas started eating all our bait so we packed it up and made it a quick day.
Slow day for sure. 3 Dolphin, 3 Bonito, 2 Cudas
