Ran out of MI @ 5am headed for the gt hole in 3-5ft swell. Saw a lot of life in 120ft before reaching the hole, so trolled a few lines. We picked up two boneheads and a decent dolphin. We really wanted to make it out to the deep, so broke the cardinal rule and left the fish biting. We high speed trolled to just north of the Hole. Trolled for nearly 3 hrs with not even one knock down. Headed back to our initial spot in 120ft and picked up a king right away. In the last hour we picked up 6 dolphin 10-20 lbs, a cuda, and had multiple short strikes. Should have stayed put. Lesson learned
Total: 7 dolphin, 1 king, 2 boneheads, 1 cuda

went out today and did basically the same. found good weed, dolphin kings and lil’ tunnys at 120’. trolled to the break to catch a few more dolphin and had a big blue free-jump next to the boat. though it looked like the better water was in shallow
