6/7 on Jacqueline II

After 1 of the 4 man crew decided to set the alarm for pm instead of am. A few calls a little late start and wanting to do what we could to get him on the boat. The now 3 man crew left out of Remley’s about 4:45. Hit the jetties and put the waves on the bow headed in the general direction of southwest banks. Beautiful ocean in the morning cruised on out at 26-27 mph to nice rollers which were a pleasure considering the last few trips. Lots of rips and a weed line in 118’ so gave it a shot with no luck. Pickup and headed to rest the way out. Found a nice line scattered with patches of mat in 165-190’ 80 degree water worked it all day picking at em here and there to pick up 9 mahi a cuda 3 get looses and a tuna barely twice the size of the ballyhoo which the biggest mahi was right behind. Short strikes all over went thru 3 packs of bait. Heard on the radio another boat was about out I believe to the same reason. Nothing spectacular good solid day and a good time. Came to the hill with em at the stern and pretty large.

Looks like a busy day. Thanks for the report.
