My dad took another group of guys fishing yesterday. He said he went to the same area in 120ft where we caught fish the day before. The guys were all first timers except my uncle and he was sick the whole day. The guys couldn’t even drive the boat in a straight line or rig baits. Dad said he had a long… day! They ended with at least 10-15 short strikes and only made out with 5 dolphin (10-20lbs) and 1 king. He said that red and black on the planer was getting nailed all day.
10-15 short strikes sounds like time for a lol wire and a stinger hook (trebble). that’ll bring 'em to the boat. but when you are the only one rigging, runing the spread and driving, there isn’t any room left for anything else
