Monday was awesome flat out there! On the way out found a big school of bait in 70ft. Dropped a butterfly jig in the middle of them, 1st drop bit off. Re-tie 2nd drop hooked up fight gets weird after a minute then realize why when I bring In half of what was about a 15ish lb king mack…tax man got his share. Finally pushed out to a 125ish and started trolling. After a couple cuda picked up 3 dolphin. 1 peanut, a slinger and a decent gaffer. Got another kingmack on the stretch 30 we were pulling in the spread. While prepping to head in dumped some left over bait and saw a mystery fish flash beneath the boat. He came up in our spread and turned out to be a 8’ hammerhead. Cleared the lines quick before he made a mess of things. Great day and better ride in. Ran 28-30 in my 23’cc… Made me feel like I was in a big boat! Lol
About 4:30 am it was rocking at the end of the jetties
