I guess if you report the good days you should report the bad. Fished the Marina at Edisto Tournament Saturday. Had the wife on board fir her yearly trip and my sons girlfriend. Started shallow and trolled out to the banks in green water. Nothing. Picked up and ran out to about 500 ft and trolled out to the blue water and a nice weed line in 750ft. Got one slinger and missed a couple. Weed line kept getting better with a sharp rip and edge that was easy to troll rifght next to but no fish. Picked up and ran back to the ledge and trolled toward home and got another small one in 135ft. Sounds like a similar day to a lot of the Edisto fleet from what I heard. On the upside we saw a nice blue sunning on the surface and no one got sick. I guess there are worse ways to spend the day.

Didn’t know they had a tournament this weekend. How many boats entered? Who/what won?

Was just a little local heaviest fish tourney, around 14 boats. Not sure who won since I didntnhave anything to weigh.

My sons fished it and didn’t have a fish to weigh in either. They said very few were weighed in and I believe the biggest dolphin was only right around 20#.

Should have mentioned that this was the Jim Bost Memorial tournament in honor of a local captain who died this year. Lots of the proceeds went to charity.
