Just saw that a boat sunk with two people on it in Winyah Bay. The man was found near or with the boat but the 66 year old woman was found floating dead in the bay. (**()! 
Yeah, looks like Ronnie Campbell is the one who found her. Tragic.

Article said they had anchor problems, and a wave capsized the boat. Wonder where in the bay they were?

Green lighted buoy #17. I think that is just before you hit Mother Norton on the right heading out.
Winyah can get dicey quick when the tide turns and the wind picks up. I always keep a knife handy when anchored up. No $150 anchor is worth capsizing over. They may have had engine trouble and threw the anchor to keep from heading out to see. Either way, Winyah is no place for a bass boat, or any small john boat.
I still cant believe in my high school days I used to run to Mother Norton in a 15’ Hi Tide in the dark. I would be taking waves over the bow, and couldn’t tell how rough it was, but that might have been a good thing. I hate to hear about this, my prayers will be with him as I am sure he will feel guilty about this for a long time.

Just saw a burp on the news about another capsize in Charleston ??
No real details … I have a small boat 18’ and you can have a
bumpy ride out of Murrell’s inlet . Watch what the tide/wind is doing
and make a smart decision . No fish is worth your life .
Besides there are plenty of fish in the creek !!!

Just did a cruise and it was no picnic out there with the tide going out and the wind coming in… people just need to pay more attention on what;s going on around them…

I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it. I think I’m going fishing…!!
