6lb Bass

Caught this one this morning out of a pond where I live. He bit a jointed rapala shad lure. Official weight @ 6lbs.

Where have you been fishing? I caught about 9 today in Mt. P, dark blue plastic worm… Biggest about 5lbs… Always looking for a pond-bass buddy…

G.

That pond looks familiar…
Is that a stringer in the basses mouth? Or what is that?

it’s a stringer. I just kept him long enough to take a picture and then threw him back. the pond is in Moncks Corner.

looks sweet good job man. my biggest is a 3 pounder but thats up here in ny

Nice ■■■■ fish!!

Just trying to learn every bit I can about saltwater fishing…

No need to put a stringer in a fishes mouth you intend to release…nice fish kill. Shame in such a small pond also.

· Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

The fish lived because I caught it again 2 weeks later. The only reason I strung him up was so I could go grab a camera and snap a pic. I usually don’t string anything that I catch.

nice bass, I have been trying to tell people that their are BIG BASS around here:sunglasses:

I live in the same neighborhood. I caught two eight pounders out of that pound last year. I havent had the time to go this year, but I know there are some nice bass in there. I released both of mine last year too.

A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work anytime!

Lunker, do you live on the water? Have I ever met you?

I live in the back of the nieghborhood off of Emerald Isle, I think we’ve said hi once or twice, last year on the water. I drive a black '05 chevy silverado and fish out of a uncle Bucks Pond hopper

I dont want to sound stupid, but does live bait work well with fresh water.(minnows and mullet) I’m sorta new to fresh water and always used spoons and worms.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there’d be a shortage of fishing poles.

use a small hook to catch some really small bream and put them on a regular worm hook about a foot below a cork and throw it out and wait. it is worth it.sometimes cutting a little piece off the tail so they swim different helps entice.
