7-1-07 report

My boat has been in the shop for a month now with no end in sight(Suzuki can’t figure out what is wrong with it), so one of my friends asked if I would take them out on their boat(brand new 24’ Everglades). Left dock at 5:30 and had lines in on a huge weed line in 150’ of water at 7:00. Picked at the fish all day. Ended the day with 6 dolphin, 1 wahoo, 1 king, 3 baracuda(released with new breathing holes), 1 huge remora(released while giving birth). Lost a good bull at the boat and one 6’ gaff. Decided to head in at noon and beat the storms. Great day on the water and the new boat handled well. Thanks for the ride Kathy!!!

What did you think of the handling characteristics of the Everglades boat? What was it powered with ?

2005 236 Sailfish
225 Yamaha 4-stroke

It did really well. I was impressed at how solid it felt. How many other 24’ bay boats can your go 50 miles offshore in?
