Decided at the last minute friday to do some trolling. Beautiful night. Ended up with 7 fish most being in the 18-20" range. Did get 2 around 25 and 28". Took awhile to figure out which bait they wanted and how fast they wanted it but money maker was a rapala 7" “stick style” bait trolled between 2.6-2.8mph.
Pulled out the live bait for sunday morning. Wasnt really expecting much after 3 days of the super moon and it was as expected. Tough. Marked a TON of fish. Pretty much a consistent pattern of fish coming through and looking at the baits. They would even swim up and down to each bait but not take it. We tried 4 different areas in the big pool and all fish did the same. We tried suspended fish and fish on the bottom.
Ended with only 5 fish. All over 21" biggest being 29". Just couldnt get the numbers like we have had in the past weeks.
Side note: Putting a plug in for Ned (better bait). He has some really nice herring. He isnt getting them out of murray as of right now. Good size to them. I had 4 in my 3dz that were 8" or so.
