Bumpy ride out, great ride home. Fishing was pretty good. Fished in 80 to 100 feet of water. Ended the day as follows:
- Limit on Vermilion…in no time flat. Size was excellent with fish averaging 16 inches easily. Nice fat fish. Unreal how many of these fish are out there and we can only keep 5.
- 8 Kings just playing around. Put 3 Rapalas out to play around with the AJ’s and caught 8 Kings in less than an hour. I don’t target them, so this was unusual for me. Could have caught alot more.
- 8 Triggers
- Red Snapper, of course.
- had a total of 7 big Cobia visit us at two different spots. Most I have seen while bottom fishing. One group followed up a hooked Trigger. He finally tried to eat the Trigger. Peel off about 30 feet of line, but the hook didn’t set. Pretty cool action though.
- 1 big 6’ shark, not sure what kind, on the spinning rod.
