Maybe Billy could patent a gunnel fighting car seat for the little ones! He looked like a pro!

Wheels are turning…

Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!

Scott go ahead and put your tanks on ,we see what the little guy will be doing while your down on the bottom..lol

Figure out how to fasten one of those Magma Bait tables to a Kids car seat and stick it in a rod holder and your all set! Darn good idea Paul:smiley: Run out and apply for a patent before S4G beats you to it:wink:

Nice report. It makes me wanna puke that you had to toss that ARS back. Oh well, after eating a bunch we caught in the gulf, I have determined almost everything else in those pics is better groceries, although Atlantic ARS taste better than Gulf ARS. Nice grouper haul. I’m hoping to get on some over the weekend.

We threw back about a dozen like that.

It’s always a bonus when you take little people as the fish count goes way up!

NMFS = No More Fishing Season

“Back home we got a taxidermy man. He gonna have a heart attack when he see what I brung him”

There are actually less snapper now than in 2008 before they were band*.

Black Sea bass explosion, and they do eat baby snappers as well as what snappers like to eat.

The SAFMC might Learn one day that draconian management decisions and 10 year old science backfires no matter what assumptions you base your conclusions on.

Me observing sonar and my catches is more defensible science than the BS they base decisions on.

The SAFMC and NMFS of the 90’s needs applauding. The current regime is in outer space and could care less fo some reason. At least these boys did not have to see us throw back every fish like thy would have in January or February…

Wonder what things would be like if nobody fought for us?

Trust me they did not want to leave!

Had to pry the rods out of their hands.

I have met a few of these gentleman, but I know all of them. They are making an investment in all of our futures and they will reap the benefits for the rest of OUR lives. My kids are 36,34and30. They spent the formative years of their lives on the deer stands, dove fields, lakes, rivers and offshore waters of our state and others. They didn’t get to spend much time in front of computers and game boards because of the chores that they were required to do each day! I lost each of them when the heart(and loins)took over, but I knew they would be back, just as I had done and most of these dads have done. I have lived the American dream, I am better off then my parents and my kids are better educated and better off then theirs.Don’t mean to get mushy, but I love to see this kind of report with our kids involved! My father has been dead for thirty years but my fondest memories of growing up were with my dad fishing in Snake Bite in the Everglades in our 18’ Grumman Canoe with the 3.5 Johnson, thinking I was the luckiest kid in the world!!!

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

Well said Ed

I saw these guys at the dock as they were cleaning up. Yeah, I was a gawker. First, at that bad ass boat. Second, at how cool it was that these youngsters had gone offshore. Third, the fish. One of the little men was sitting in a dock cart and my mom commented how composed and content he was just watching the dads and uncles cleaning up a days worth of fishing. She sure was happy to see it. Put a smile on her face.

Good work guys.

Great job, as usual Phin. Excellent pictures and a good read. I especially love the shots of the kid sitting on the edge with his pole. That is classic.
