7/31 Report

Went out to Sandy beach to watch the show for a while trying to keep 2 dozen herring alive. Retied all my rigs with longer 20lb fluro leaders 20lb, 1 1/2 oz sinkers and smaller live bait and circle hooks while I waited. Got ran off by the rain and waited it out at the dam for 30 min then hit the towers around 6 or so. Managed 3 in about 45 min with not so frisky bait with a nice one around 24-25". Made it to the house by nightfall. Fish seemed very active and were anywhere from the surface down to 60’. Not a bad day.

Naw thats not bad atall. I fought the urge to go out, but it looked like real bad weather coming in. Plus I replaced my other battery on my 24v trolling motor. Man, this is getting insane. Not to meantion expensive. Now I cant hardly afford bait.

I was out there before that storm moved in about 10 am that morning. Got 6. 3 on live bait and 3 on cut bait, but all were short. Mostly just shy of 21".
