7/7 - long story short, Cudas

I wanted to get back out for Dolphin, but July 5th was blowing s bit so ended up fishing jetties and had a few nice spot tails and a couple of sharks.
The weather forecast didn’t look great yesterday, but seemed OK in AM so headed out for bait. Finally found it on the front of MI and headed out.Plan was to troll from about 60’ out to 95’ and then see what was happening on the Y73. I hit the C buoy on way out and had a couple of big Cudas. I only troll 3 lines right now while im getting used to things, so I had a cedar plug way back, and two daisy chains which had a hook on the last lure. Had my first fish on the cedar plug, a small tuna. Whrn I pulled in the daisy chains I had been trolling thry had been bitten of as well. Got to about 95’, put a bait out, 30 seconds taken and bit off. same thing about a minute later. Put a king rig on and was getting Cuda after cuda. The swells/waveswere starting to get bigger at this point as well. Decided to Jig and first drop had something nice on. It was about this time that I really noticed that the swell was getting a little dicey. The fish started moving around the boat, but I couldnt follow the fish around as the boat was moving too much. Lost that fish and decided to head back right away. Glad I made that decision, wasnt much fun coming home, was taking a lot of direct spray hits to the head over the port side. Saw the storm coming in so headed straight back to the ramp and got into truck just as the heavens opened. TBH i was soaked anyway.
cheers
