Bumpy ride out and hoping it would be worth it. Trolled the ledge heading south for 5 hours with one knock down and no fish. Felt like mid August and not the first weekend in July. Decided to bottom fish with a little more success. Even kept a few for dinner. Anybody else do better trolling? Still better than going to work.

Lack of reports usually indicates slow fishing. Thanks for the report. Heading out north tomorrow to troll for a few hours then hit the bottom. Hopefully there are still a few pelagics out there!

We fished around the Edisto Banks. Started trolling around 8:30 and stopped to go and jig the ledge around 2. Ended with 5 dolphin in the box, 1 sail, couple cudas, and a little tunny. Slow day trolling, tons of fliers but no fish around. Should have caught a couple more phins but lost them either to throwing the hook or tackle failure. Almost got drilled in the face by a planer flying back at me…would have been unpleasant to say the least.

We trolled for hours near the ledges and only had a few knock downs. We then bottomed fished as well and brought back a few for dinner. Was a slow day, but had a lot of fun!
