76 year old catches nice Tarpon

gald to see him with a pic like that. You have to be a fairly decent angler to catch one of these despite your age!

Did ANYONE think about the fact that the guy who caught the fish made a choice to KEEP the fish for a mount or something???..If my memory serves me correctly you are allowed to keep one tarpon per day!!!..just asking!!!

We released the tarpon… As always. Did measure the fork length at 72".Good conversation on handling.

Nice fish sir. Better photo showing a smile of accomplishment.

Nice fish, post, and pic sir. I’m still waiting for my chance at a pic with a poon. I like the way you let the spins slide off your back - well done!

absolutely. The deck of the boat ends up looking like the set of a japanese porno.

My Nephew will never pull a tarpon out for any reason. You get a pic and a scale off the fish and that is it.He did pull a 150 pounder out that i caught for a fast pic.It took us 30 minutes to revive the fish.Never again will he take one out of the water.

I agree, why people feel the need to pull anyfish of this size, and billfish out of the water is beyond me…unless of course you are keeping it and going to eat it.

The males are nasty when you get them in the boat never again will one come in the boat. But if its your first tarpon bring it in the boat for a photo, let the rest stay in the water.
