8-11 Slam

Left the dock about 5:30 this morning to fish the last bit of incoming and first bit of the outgoing tides. Pretty much non stop action until about 10 when we called it. First few fish were reds with 2 being in the slot and one over then an unsuspected trout at 17inches. Kept the 2 reds and let the trout swim. Then it hit me, im 2/3 of the way to my first inshore slam. Little while later a rod goes off and bam 16 inch flounder to hit the box aswell. So the final tally was 6 redfish (3 slot, 2 over, 1 broke beside boat), 1 trout, 1 flounder, 1 sting ray, and about 6 sharks. All reds caught on finger mullet on the bottom, trout on shrimp on the bottom, flounder on shrimp on the bottom. Water temp around 84 i believe. Will post pics hopefully tomorrow if i get them

Awesome day! Congrats!:sunglasses:

Nice!

“In every species of fish I’ve angled for, it is the ones that have got away that thrill me the most, the ones that keep fresh in my memory. So I say it is good to lose fish. If we didn’t, much of the thrill of angling would be gone.” Ray Bergman

Congrats on the slam! Sounds like an epic morning.

Totally jealous! Good work on the slam!
