Took a charter out yesterday in hopes of ending the summer season on a good note. Loaded the tank up with cigars and hard tails and rolled out. Weather was glass compared to when we fished 8/10. As soon as we put lines in it was a 30 minute period of at least a double hook up. Made good work with that and then it slowed down. Headed to another hole and we found a little weed line forming. Dropped two live baits back and threw in a couple slingers. Saw a lot of dolphin deep that wouldn’t hit anything. Gave that 10 minutes and kept rolling. Got on some good bottom and caught a decent snowy. Then we look up and the blackfin were all over us. Crazy how you go from a 15 pound fish to a 300 pound fish in less than seconds. Went back in shallower to our first spot and it turned on again. Everyone was putting grouper and snapper on the deck. Smallest grouper was 23 inches. Awesome weather, awesome charter, and a ton of grouper fillets.

I love taking girls fishing. Gives me an excuse to kill more grouper and it’s a good view.
