8/14 billfish,tuna,wahoo,dolphin

I went with a customer that just took delivery of a new Scout 282 Sportfish. We were putting lines in at 8am and hooked up a white, jumped off. 30 min. later had a blue all over the short, came tight, jumped him off. Caught bonitos and sharks for the next hour. Then caught two yellowfins. I was letting lines back out and hooked a sail. We landed that one. At the end of the day we caught a 40lb wahoo and 3 dolphin. There is a huge weedline in 200ft full of 10lb dolphin. It was non stop all day, more like May then August. Thanks John for a great trip, I hope you enjoy the new boat.

Dang Red! You seem to have good luck with those Scouts. Nice to finally see a good report.

Nice report Red. Sounds like an exciting day. Green hull?

Thats a hell of a day Red.

congrats,
a new boat starting it’s 1st trip like that is a blast.
we see the same effect here in the Mona Channel, much more dorados around than normal for august, they are small and run in big schools.
lets hope they bring some more blue marlins with them, the blues are still not the quantity we should have that time of the year.
