Put the boat in around 4pm. Caught plenty of bait …FM, shrimp, MM…within the first few casts. Lines in the water by 5pm and back at the marina by 8:45pm…Not a bad evening at all in my book…Set off in search for a few hungry fish. Fished carolina rigs with 10" leader. Wound up bringing 7 reds to the boat. Lost 3 really nice fish…that was tough to swallow!! But my buddy came through with a 39" hog. All fish caught on fresh cut finger mullet and menhaden. Back at work for a few days now…
Good job, RR. You’ve been locked-in lately. Keep up the good work.

RR, (**() good job man. Great report. I don’t know how to do areas like that with a Carolina rig. I usually have to find structure or flats. One day I’ll get off my arse and put in the time. That 39 inchers head is huuuge.

I have been reading more and more on the shorter leader style…may have to give it a whirl, excellent work too btw!

I’ve been using a shorter leader recently (about 12") and it has been working well…except now when they do break me off, its at the PP and i lose my swivel, egg weight, and hook instead of just the hook.
That’ll get old and expensive lol
