Got out early with plan to continue my quest for a Tarpon. That didn’t work out due to my 2nd consecutive cast net fiasco before I put any bait in the well. So, plan B went out kinda scouting around to see if i could see any tarpon activity for next time. Trolled out on outside of N Jetty and picked up a few nice Spanish. V close to the rocks, all on the surface with small spoon at abou 6 mph. It was such a nice day decided to head out to Capers Reef. Caught a bunch of BSB’s jigging and a decent Cuda. Also had a couple of large Cobia following me round for a while, has anyone had any luck catching them when they are hanging around the boat? Oh, also had a weird feeling someone was watching me,looked around and a huge turtle was floating on the surface just checking me out. Great day, had to cut it short early as my dog needed emergency surgery, so smooth maintained a steady 40 mph all the way back.

Sorry, I should have mentioned in the Post that all is well.
She shakes her head a lot after swimming and broke a blood vessel and the ear lobe fills w/ blood. This is quite common and she had it drained twice by the vet but while i was fishing it actually started bleeding. The vet decided she needed surgery, which I found out on the boat. She is a bit groggy from the anesthetic and she needs to keep the bandages on for a week but she will be fine and back swimming in a week or two.
Thank you for asking.
