8 dolphin at once!

Decided to set poles and run them today, rather than our normal single-pole. The weather was perfect, 70’s and 2.5 mph breeze. We set poles on the far NE corner of the bay, baited, and waited for tide movement. As soon as the tide was going we noticed a dolphin. Within minutes we had 8 of them swirling in and around every pole. I’ve been hit by flipper before but never more than 2. 8!!? at once!! Since we were blown out we picked up poles and joined most of the shrimpers past White Banks. We set one pole and tossed some bait. We didn’t stay long but the shrimp we caught were very nice. Larges, jumbos, and a few medium. We’ll start there Thursday.

Those critters are smart. I’m willing to bet they are conditioned to know when someone is shrimping and that the shrimp will be there.
