9/13 morning

still on boat restriction, so no dogs with me today. roxy is too heavy for the front of the yak when i’m paddlin long distance.

anyway, hit the ramp 4:45am with the tide still going out. rode the distance to the very “not so secret spot”. dodged a couple contenders headin out for the blue water then reached the flat.

IT WAS ON!!!

six fish before 6:45!! all fish were “in sight” and caught on weedless DOA shrimp clear with flakes. another fish caught on freelined cirle hook with a live shrimp while searching the grass on the way back in. Fun too because i tightened the drag and that fish dragged me 100 yards closer to home.

i’ll be back tommorow.

yak, sounds like you had a really good morning! Too bad for roxy though.

Mud

weedless DOA? ya buy them that way or use a different hook?

Sounds great… have you calmed down yet?

Glad to here you did well:smiley:

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad. </font id=“size2”>

cut,

start at the back of the shrimp, break the tail off the shrimp, use a worm hook like a texas rig plastic worm

work the shrimp with twitches just like a real shrimp
