After a cooler of mixed shrimp last Saturday on the rising tide,
We decided to give the falling tide a try after Hearing the shrimp were bigger on the falling. It was fairly crowded in our normal spot so we decided to set up in a new spot away from everyone. We got the poles and bait out right at high tide. After a few runs we managed 2 dozen shrimp. I thought, ok I messed up trying a new spot, so we picked up and headed to our “sure thing” spot. After making another batch of bait balls and
Resetting poles we were finally shrimping again. We ran the poles 5 more times and only managed another 2 dozen shrimp. im not sure why but the shrimp just weren’t there. After giving up on shrimping we decided to fish a little and managed 20 nice whiting before calling it quits all together. Trip didn’t go as planned, but still a great
day.
Anybody else have any luck on outgoing tide. I always shrimp incoming
I’ve givin up on falling water, but with a west wind it may be the best chance.
