9/26--Good Fishing

Left the dock at 5 am with an all new cf.com crew.
Headed south of the rocks.
Slow, sloppy ride out.
Started fishing around 8 am. No other recreation guys around.
Caught a decent king in less than 5 minutes of high speed trolling. He lost his tail to something bigger on the way in.
Had several bite offs. After losing over $100 in lures, decided to start slow trolling. No action there so busted out the bottom rigs.
Ended up filling the fishbox with Vermillion Snapper, Triggerfish, and Pinkies. Caught a nice keeper Gag, Speckled Hind, and a mystery fish that went home with one of the guys for a hot oil bath.
Stopped in about 20 miles from the rocks for some bsb’s. We caught a couple big knotheads, but the wind and water started getting nasty so I called it and we headed in for another long, slow, wet ride back to the dock.
Awesome day on the water!!

Thanks again chris had a great time! Oh and that fish I looked it up and its called a spotted scorpion fish, check it out and see if you agree. they are poisonous but i ate him last night, he was delicious and im still around so the flesh isn’t. Had a blast man, hit me up next time.

Yeah, I’d say it was definitely in the scorpionfish family.
Glad to see you’re still alive!!
