Finally looked like we had the day to go but I was wrong.Came down from the upstate and headed for the royal-terrace for wahoo, wasn’t to bad till we got 9 miles from the terrace and the north wind turned NE and it sucked!! We saw fish busting up some really small flyers and as I looked down and into my tackle bags and into the bait-box for the “match the hatch” stuff I looked at my buddy and knew it was all over with from there!! I was sick again for the second time in a row,I couldn’t do crap and headed back.
Capt.Dick called for a radio check and told me he was sorry to her that and said it was pretty sloppy out here and hoped my day got better and I told him I used to run a charter-boat in south Fla. but I think I must be getting old,the fish might have been black-fins but can’t be sure but they were tearing it up the action was in 140feet with scattered weed wish I had a better report.
Sorry you had to turn back. Seas were really nice where we were. Caught 9 black fin- 3 pushing 30 lbs and 3 pushing 5 pounds 2 big kings. Fought a sail and pulled him off after some aerobatics. Boated a 60 pound wahoo and ran home at 35 knots. Seared cashew encrusted tuna topped with a mango coconut chutney was the gourmet galley fare du jour.

Capt Mel what area did you guys fish
Hate to hear that Silky. When we talked didn’t you say you were from Greenville? Long ride. Maybe better luck next time
“Good things come to those who bait”
Anderson, takes about 4.5-5 hours pulling boat, going to try and find a place to stay in summer ville need place to keep boat
We fished the ledge out to 250 ft in 82 degree water on the 100 line
Capt. Mel
Anderson, really?
I thought I was the only idiot that comes down from Anderson on a regular basis. PM me, we’ll have to fish together sometime.
Sorry to hear you got sick. You really should have given it a little while since you were already there. My wife got sick last week when we stopped. She blew grits all over but once I started back moving she got over it. She ended up enjoying the rest of the day, we just couldn’t stop.

I just want 1 dollar more than I can spend!
I probably should of jumped in; Neither one of us had any sleep and I was just wore-out!! But I just can’t wait to go again
Try wearing one of those “trans-derm scope” patches…they work well but make your mouth dry up bad…just back from the Bahamas riding Hurricane Issac’s outer bands a few weeks back (4-6’seas for 4 days) and the patch saved me and my buddy! Gotta get a perscription for them though…

Thanks I’ll give them a try I guess, I honestly thought this day would ever come (getting sea-sick last 2 times out) and I tell you I have been out in some really bad seas the worst was when we flew to Jamaica and delivered a 62 ft. striker to st-thomas, I never seen so much stuff get tore up!!! 15-20 all the way, Hey Brian pm sent
Those “trans derm scop” patches are great. Id pick up about five and leave them in my boatbag in case someone aboard gets sick. They work really well without the side effects. Try them out next time. I used one about 8 years ago and it saved my behind!
Fishwhistle works every time.

I use triptone. It is only sold in dive stores. I never got sea sick before until I went diving. I took trip tone the next trip and was fine.
