Rolled out this morning about 0630 with Sells and son. Sea greeted us with beautiful long rollers, but the sky was a heavy overcast. Ran to the “Y-73” and did some drifts. Picked up a limit of B-Liners, Trigger, oh and this one red snapper…

Seas started to get crappy with a STRONG NE wind so we picked up a headed for the hill. Great day, back early and missed the little popups this afternoon.
Thanks for another great day on the water Paul and glad your son could make the trip.
Nice work. And nice message to SAFMC as well. Too bad that they are going to shut the snappers down when I’ve seen more red snapper this year on a handful of dives than the last 2 years combined.
I know where a few more in the 26-28lb range are right this second. Eventually, I should get some video of them and post it up here. Hopefully, nobody will fish that spot until I get a chance to do so. Also know where a healthy school of 15+ pounders is hanging out on a small piece of bottom. Nice to know some big ones still exist!
I am already on there good side. I show up and ask questions at every one of there public BULLSHI>>> I mean forums. I didn’t post any pics of the “OVERFISHED” B-liners, but they were all 2 lb footballs. Eco-Nazi’s and bad science makes for really dumb laws. I still liked it when I asked the scientist about the data from the 40’s…He was clueless, sounded like it was their best guess.

Mule, I started wearing that style glove about 2 years ago, they protect from fins, teeth, and hooks. I have always screwed my hands up real bad on good bottom trips. When you are unhooking lots of triggers ,b-liners, pinks, and removing sharks, these gloves help a bunch. They are in the tool section at walmart and only cost a couple of bucks. We use to judge how good a bottom trip was, by how bad our hands hurt the next day.
