We finally got out there for a fun trip. We went down to the south, in a calm ocean. By noon we had 2 sails and 3 Wahoo. We had 2 free jumping blues around the boat, but never had one in the spread. We decided to stay until the sun went down to get the late bite. About 6 hours later we found lots of bait up on top in 200ft. We got a few lazy sail bites and missed a few we should have stuck. We have lots of great pics and some underwater video. I will try and get those up today. The bait is starting to show up good. Can’t wait to get back out there.

Good work Joseph. Nice sailfish footage, and that sure is a short and fat hoo. I’m trying to head out on Sat, going to be interesting with a bunch of newbies!

The larger one weighed 47lbs the next morning. We let them sit on ice overnight and we did not weigh the other two.
Seems like the fish firmed up and gave us much nicer fillets than I remember S.C. wahoo having, after letting them sit overnight. bacon wrapped wahoo, mmmmm
