And I have yet another question about my 2002 90 HP merc. I was out riding yesterday and noticed that the pisser/telltale wasn’t pushing out a lot of water. It is slightly more than a trickle and I wouldn’t consider it a steady stream either. But it definitely does not have near the same force that another merc. had going when it drove by. Maybe mine has an enlarged prostate or has stage fright, who knows!!! I kept feeling the water coming out and it was luke warm, but never hot. I am going to try and see if it is clogged but I was wondering if it is safe to drive. The wife and kid really want a trip out tomorrow but I don’t want to screw anything up. when you get on land take hook it up to the muffs and take a paper clip or clothes hanger and slide in the hole to clear the obstruction out. i have a 40 on my duck rig and every so often mine gets clogged from running in skinny water, I carry a clothes hanger on the boat to clear it out.

i use wire leader to slide in the telltale. got pluffmud drawn in the cooling system yasterday fishing skinny, used my precut piece from under the console and got it working in about 30 seconds.

Mine was clogged up a few weeks ago. Muddobbers I guess. Used a paperclip and cleaned it out. Couldn’t blow through the tube at all.
