90 SeaPro(cc)-96 Johnson 90hp

Hi eddybody
New to boats and handling of em.
Any advice , stats, or anything you can advise me of about my boat or motor???
Appreciate it yall.

If it ain’t broke…let me try!

Congrats on the new boat. And, that is so wide an solicitation for information that it is nearly impossible to respond with anything useful.

Anything specific that you are curious about?

Thanks for posting Scott.
I’m looking for general “peculiarities” about both.
Just any little quirks either or both may have.
Like I said, I’m new at this and I may have specific questions in the future.

I can’t speak specifically about that model, but generally Sea Pro boats have great bones and are well built.

Stay away from ethanol it seams to eat at the johnny fuel pumps

I have a 1995 Johnson 88spl. I think it is mechanically very similar to your motor. The ‘spl’ motors did not have vro. Otherwise, same block, carbs, lower unit, etc. Mime runs well and is easy to worn on. Last weekend, put about 80 miles on her. Filled back up today with 27 gallons. That’s very close to 3 miles per gallon. Not to bad. You should do better with a flatter hull than my HenryO (sharp entry, heavy reverse chines, and lots of dead rise).

I don’t know about the vro/fuel pump setups, but my motor doesn’t care about ethanol, either way. I keep a clean water seperating fuel filter maintained and she runs great.
