90 Yam Trim problem

my motor falls after being trimmed up. It takes it quite some time to fall. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be app. Thanks

The fluid is probably leaking. If you can’t find a leak externally, then it is in the pump itself.

Bring on the 2-3 chop!

If there no fluid leak then there is a problem internally, probably a cut on a seal…ect.

I assume that your bypass screw is tight??

screw is tight, so what’s the solution? A new pump or can it be rebuilt? thanks for the help.

I got the same prob with my 90 yam. Drifts down slowly 15-20 minutes or so.

mine was doing a similar thing. Eventually, it stopped working at all. CharlestonMarine replaced it and two days later working fine.

can it be fixed or just replaced?
