Al Phelps not only helped me fix my motor when i had the same problem he had a little while ago but while i was on the phone with him last week i mentioned that my tach had recently gone out and i had yet to replace it.
I get an email yesterday from him saying he replaced his tach because the glass had a little tint to it and had his old one sitting around. i offered to buy it from him but he refused to accept any form of payment regardless of what i said (note this is a $200+ tach). Not only did he give me a tach but he personally delivered it from Charleston to Columbia today.
Al, thank you very much. i can assure you i will pay it foward ten fold.
which brings me to my pay it foward part.
i have a brand spankin new Stainless steel 4 blade yamaha prop (i think its a 21 pitch but not sure) i purchased it 2 years ago for over 600 bucks and sold the boat the next week. only had the prop on the boat for less than 1 hour of run time.
prop is free to the 1st person that has a good “pay it foward idea”
feel free to call me 803 622 7032. ill post the prop size when i get home
i think it will fit a 225 + the part number is MAR-GYT4B-V6-24. im pretty sure its for the V6 motors. might be a little big for the 115. let me know if it will fit
“The amount of money I’ll be makin would hurt your parents feelings. Remember the class where I taught you all how to make it rain? That’s what I’ll be doin every night, dollar…dollar…bills y’all.”
i checked the part number on yamaha’s website, is 13 3/4 x 24. prop is designed to fit F150 and up and the 250 - 300 HPDI’s.

mhogancu, it’s very good of you to continue the “pay it forward.” I’ve been fortunate to be able to call Al Phelps “Dad” for thirty-six years. He’s a pretty cool dude!
