A bit redundant but fish on

Fished the meat fish slam out of GT on saturday. Left the docks at 0330 and rode out in the pitch black. Went all the way to GT hole dropped high speed trollers ran 15knts out towards bubble rock looking for a temp break. Still waiting for a grab when running that fast but no luck this day. Found what we were looking for from 800ft to 1000ft. scatterd weeds and temp up to 73-74deg. switched up rigs and put out the spread. trolled for awhile w/nothing wondering about our choice of location then a few flyers showed then one loaner mahi to get the skunk off. A little while later I looked back to witness a great show. a 1/2 dozen Mahi come screamming across the spread from right to left and all lines go down one after the other. kaos and pandimoniom insued but my great crew two women included land 4 out of the five all nice gaffers. picked at em for awhile had two on and my brother starts yelling about theres is another one with em. Now i had planned on staying in the driver seat all day but couldn’t help myself so grabbed a fin nor spinning real spiked a ballyhoo throught the head and chucked it back. The take was immediate and he screamed the line off. As luck would have it that fish was our biggest of the day at 19lbs and gave the crew ample time to heckle me as this fish flat wore me out on the light gear. Came to the boat then ran all i had gained off again several times. finally brought it to the gaff and got my sweating butt back in the cpts chair. I decided that we needed a wahoo and tuna for the tourney so made the ultimate mistake and left fish to find fish and never did. Total for the day 10 mahi Missed the money by 3 lbs on the mahi, I think we lost a bigger one at the boat but thats fishing.
all nice fish. Great day!great crew! great groceries! on first trip of the year.
