A friend and I decided to give it a try today even though it was 37 Degrees when I got to my boat. I’m a So. Florida guy so ice on a boat is not a good thing. Went to all my spots were I have been crushing trout for 6-7 weeks. Not much, we caught less then 10 all day and not much size, 13-14 inches. We were saved by one of my spots producing 5 Reds all about the same size. Throwing DOA curly tails. I don’t think it ever got to 50 degrees today so running between spots was a cold ride. Guess I have to go tomorrow!!
What was the water temp?
I don’t have a temp gauge on my boat.
I ran aground looking for low tide redfish and had to get out and push. Water temp was ab 60 or so. Def didn’t drop to 55 or less. The trout moved on me too. I found them in new locations
55 at Paradise Landing

Were the trout in the same kind of locations or did they move to real deep holes with the temperature drop? Just wondering since I have been catching a ton near points on incoming tides that last month or so.
Thanks for getting out and reporting!
Well done, sir. Question-is your boat an ECS Caimen? Regardless, beautiful rig. Oh, and welcome to the site.
“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”
I have an East Cape Fury. Had it for about 6 months. Great boat for me, large casting platform and very smooth and dry in a chop. They make an awesome boat.
